William Moore was born in England and trained at The Royal Ballet School. After performing and touring with The Royal Ballet, William joined the Estonian National Ballet from 2009-2012. He then joined Pittsburgh Ballet theatre in 2013 and was promoted to soloist in 2018 retiring from the stage in 2024. In his time at Pittsburgh, he danced such roles as Seigfreid in Swan Lake and principal roles in George Balanchine’s Diamonds. dancing works by esteemed choreographers such as Twyla Tharp, Jiri Kyllian and William Forsythe. In his choreographic career William has won such awards as Ursula Morton and YAGP outstanding choreographic award. William has also served as the Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre School Choreographer-in-Residence and in 2024, William was made Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre’s Choreographer-in-Residence.
